Join the Black Geographies Specialty Group!

We are proud to announce that addition of the Black Geographies Specialty Group to the American Association of Geographers. The BGSG was approved by the AAG Council during their November 2016 meeting. 

Please see the information below:

"Dear all, 

We have a live portal on the AAG site! At your next AAG dues renewal (or today!), add the Specialty Group to your list. There is currently not a group administrator as we have not yet had elections.  By the way, our first business meeting and elections will be at the Annual Meeting in Boston. After elections, choices can be made about how to use the online portal. Most importantly, we need dues to start programming and such, per what was written into the Constitution and By-Laws.

Please see the following information I received from the AAG Office regarding how to add the group: 

"Please note that access is limited to people that are both active members of AAG and the Black Geographies Specialty Group. Should you have people interested in joining that renewed prior to the group becoming active online, they can add the group by signing into their account and  selecting Add Specialty/Affinity Groups from under the Membership tab. Tutorial videos on both accessing the knowledge communities and adding specialty/affinity groups is available on the right hand corner of the membership page on our website ( http://www.aag.org/cs/membership )."
